To build up a stash of points you have to take advantage of the quick and easy opportunities, as well as the bigger ones – especially as the big card bonuses continue to become more sparse.

This week I’ve spotted two easy wins…

100 Free Avios with Iberia

You can earn 100 Avios points for entering Iberia Plus’ ‘Celebrity Trip’ competition – here.

If you already have an Iberia account, the entry takes seconds (you just enter your name, membership number and ‘superstar wish’).

250 Amex Points for Using Your Card in the Post Office

On my American Express Preferred Rewards Gold Credit Card I have what seems to be a very easy opportunity to earn 250 Membership Reward Points. In my save to card offers I have a post office offer which reads:

‘Earn 250 membership reward points when you spend at participating Post Office stores’

Unusually there appears to be no minimum spend requirement, so I assume the 250 points would be triggered by any transaction. That would mean it would be possible to spend 50p and earn what is effectively £2.50 worth of points. I never ignore any opportunity to earn back more, so will be buying a stamp on my Amex in the morning!! Whilst 250 points isn’t an enormous bonus, you’d need to put £250 of spending through the card to earn that normally.
